FOGGY NOTIONS PRESENTS
LISA O'NEILL
IMBOLC
VICAR STREET
1ST FEBRUARY
Responding to phenomenal demand and the sell out of her December 21st show, Lisa O’Neill has announced a second headline date at Vicar Street in Dublin, for February 1st, bridging two significant days in the traditional Irish calendar. Tickets on general sale Friday 16th October at 10:00.
The dual concerts form an arc, tracking the movement of light through the Irish seasons. The upcoming show on December 21st takes place in the peak of winter, on the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. Historically a time for gathering and reflection. This night will see O’Neill joined by special guest Seamas Hyland alongside other surprise Christmas bundles rolling into Dublin for the holidays.
Feb 1st lands on the celebration of Imbolc and St Brigid, marking the end of the earth’s winter sleep and the early illumination of the land with the rising sun. The turning point where new life begins to awake from dormancy. When seeds are sown.
This show will take a different turn in light of the light. Lisa will introduce new songs and will be joined on the night by percussive Sean-nós dancer Stephanie Keane and novelist and ecologist Anja Murray. More to be revealed in the new year.
